Avalanche claims life of young man at Lake Louise ski resort – HighRiverOnline.com

An avalanche at the Lake Louise ski resort has cost the life of a young man.

A group of three young men in their 20’s triggered an avalanche on Saturday afternoon that killed one of the three individuals.

The men went into a closed off area called the West Bowl when it happened just after 2 p.m.

All three were swept down the slope with one of the young men being completely buried.

None of the three men were equipped with avalanche safety gear.
