Nearly 2,000 customers were impacted by a power outage. According to FortisAlberta, the cause of the outage was due to a tree on the line due to the storm.
However, Fortis announced that power has been restored.
Earlier on Monday, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning. On Monday evening, the warning ended for Airdrie and the surrounding areas.
