Parks and pathways east of Riverfront Park have reopened, but Riverfront Park remains closed for ongoing maintenance and repair.

Alberta Environment has approved the reopening of the pathways and parks extending east of Riverfront Park to Griffin Industrial Point, including the popular multi-use Jim Uffelmann Memorial Park.

Today (Nov. 2) at 4:30 p.m., the water and wastewater incident call centre phone line will be dismantled and transitioned to regular operations. Inquiries can continue to be directed to the town’s reception at 403-851-2500.

Cochrane remains under level three water restrictions, which means:

• No bulk water sales by the town.

 • No outdoor watering.

• Town retains the ability to adjust water pressure as deemed necessary.

To allow crews to continue work, the following road closures remain in effect until further notice:

• Partial road closure on West Side Drive between Quigley Drive and West Rock Road

• Partial road closure of Riverview Drive near Griffin Road West.
