Planted on the success of last year’s event, organizers of the Lake Lenore Mind Body Spirit Wellness Expo are returning to the Lake Lenore Community Hall for a second year. The event takes place this Saturday, May 11 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Taking a holistic approach to wellness, all the practitioners and vendors at the expo offer a wide range of services and products geared to physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. It’s a veritable one-stop experience to replenish mind, body and spirit, says one of the organizers, Leanne Brinkman.
“This year, we’ll see lots of vendors returning, but there are lots of new vendors as well. We have aura readers, permanent jewelry, palm reading – there’s so much to experience.”
Metamorphosis Counselling will be on hand with EMDR therapy information and other modes of treatment. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing is a mental health treatment technique involving the client’s moving their eyes a specific way while processing traumatic memories.
A nutritionist from Radville will also be on site delivering the latest in nurturing the body and mind through healthy eating. Along with the vendors’ products catering to specific healing needs, you’ll run into local vendors with plants, crafts and jewelry, and of which are geared to raise spirits and inspire personal wellbeing.
There are demonstrations and book in sessions for access bars, Reiki, pet communication and much more.
It’s also a great place to stop for lunch with a menu of sandwiches and croissants and satisfying foods from local producers. Patrons can also take a moment to drop off good used items for resale at Scout & Magpie, Lake Lenore’s resale store.
“Scout & Magpie will have a trailer parked at the Community Hall. If you donate, you’ll get your name entered for a really great draw featuring all the practitioners from Ora.”
Ora is the wellness market space established on Lake Lenore’s Main Street along with Scout & Magpie.
