Ripple, the blockchain tech based in the United States has announced its support for the fight against the global pandemic COVID-19 with a $200,000 donation.

Ripple made this known via its official Twitter handle a couple of hours ago. According to the report, the cross-border payment firm will donate $100,000 each to Tipping Point Community’s COVID emergency response fund and Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s COVID Regional Response Fund.

Ripple shared this, “In these challenging times, Ripple is committed to being part of the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re starting in our own backyard with $100K donations each to Tipping Point Community’s COVID emergency response fund and Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s COVID Regional Response Fund.”

Ripple furthered by directing those interested in donating to support the World Health Organization (WHO) in the fight against the spread of coronavirus to the appropriate channel.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, countries across the world have struggled to curtail its widespread. The global financial system has greatly been affected in the course of achieving this goal.

Ripple Alerts Members about Fake XRP Giveaway Scams

In another development, Ripple shared a tweet to warn the XRP community members of fake XRP giveaway scams.

Ripple hinted at the presence of fraudsters using YouTube videos and their Twitter handles to defraud people of hard-earned money. It went further to teach its community members how to identify and report such fake XRP giveaway scams via an exclusive blog post.

“Fraudsters on social media platforms like YouTube and Twitter are looking to steal from you. Protect yourself by learning how to spot and report fake XRP giveaway scams,” Ripple shared.
